About

As a licensed clinical psychologist, it is an honor to work with clients on their journey through life, particularly those parts that feel stuck, overwhelming, or unproductive.

I work with adults in individual psychotherapy by offering a collaborative, empathic, directive, and inquisitive approach. By examining past patterns, themes, and relationships, clients learn to make peace with the past, better understand the present, and more intentionally and consciously direct the future.

I specialize in depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, family-of-origin issues, and relationship concerns. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with clients who feel marginalized or oppressed by issues relating to gender, age, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion, etc. Regardless of the issues that bring a client in, therapy is catered to the individual needs of each client and focuses on the themes and patterns that produce pain and the strengths and resources that bring joy.

The therapeutic process begins with an initial consultation that allows us to meet and allows me to gather information on what brings you in at this time. The degree of symptoms and levels of functioning are assessed within a biopsychosocial framework, thus allowing for compassionate understanding and comprehensive treatment goals. Together, we will look at your goals for therapy and create a course of treatment. If we determine at any point that I am not the best person for you to work with, I am happy to help you find another clinician.
